For various purposes it makes sense to add "Select possible values in Data source field" as action or as option when selecting the data source field. That would simplify tasks setup, instead of using workarounds such as datasource expressions etc. 

Now the * in the selections brings ALL values, not only the possible ones (Qlik May 20206)
