Mail and Deploy and Qlik Sense on-prem upgrade strategies
We use Mail and Deploy (on-prem) for creating static reporting based on applications in our Qlik Sense (on-prem) environment. We tend to do a major release upgrade at least once a year, partly to get access to the latest features and fixes, and partly to keep our environment under support.
With the entry of Mail and Deploy, we need to include it in our considerations when planning and making upgrades to our BI suite. We do not want to end up in a situation where the two systems are not working together. Some questions have risen related to this are.
When upgrading Qlik Sense
- How can we confirm that a version of Qlik Sense is compatible our current Mail and Deploy version.
When upgrading Mail and Deploy
- Which version of Qlik Sense on-prem are supported by a Mail and Deploy release
- How frequent should we plan upgrading Mail and Deploy? What is the common release frequency?
- Are there any fixed limits on how long a single Mail and Deploy version is supported?
