Breaking Change 3.6.5 Snowflake single factor password sign-ins are being deprecated

In the Version 3.6.5 Release Notes you can find the following point:
  • The Authentication Type Key Pair has been added to the Snowflake Datasource and is now the default option, as single factor password sign-ins are being deprecated by Snowflake. For more information, see Snowflake - Planning for the deprecation of single-factor password sign-ins.

    • If you have a Snowflake Datasource using single-factor password (Authentication Type: Username/Password), please

      • edit the connection, add the Key Pair details and save it

      • or edit the connection, change it to Username/Password and save it.

When you upgrade to version 3.6.5 or higher

Your Snowflake Datasource definition will look like this


Option 1 (preferred, as the single factor password sign ins are being deprecated):
Add the Key Pair details to the connection. Save it.



Option 2:
Change the Authentication Type to Username / Password. The properties Username and Password are visible again. Save it.
