Parameters

Use parameters to make reports configurable. Parameters, among others, can be used - to set filters - as flags

Use parameters to make the report configurable.

a) Parameter to set a filter
For example, the parameter Sales Rep which will used to filter the field Sales Rep Name in the preparation actions.
During the design phase, the parameter can have a default value, in order to see something when running the preview.
For example, "Amalia Craig" will be used as the default value, then during the design phase, the report will be generated for the Sales Rep Name "Amalia Craig".

A Parameter can also contain a list of items.

b) Parameter used as a flag
For example, Show Revenue which will be used in the Condition property of Elements to show/hide them in the Report.
