How to solve the error ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID in Mail & Deploy Extensions for Qlik Sense?

In Mail & Deploy on-prem, when using Qlik Sense with HTTPS and using the Mail & Deploy Extensions for Qlik Sense, Mail & Deploy should have HTTPS enabled, a 3rd party certificate is mandatory and its Thumbprint should be added to Mail & Deploy in the Managemente Console > Settings > Server > General.

Issue 

When using the browser's developer tools to debug errors with the Mail & Deploy Extensions for Qlik Sense and getting the following error:

MailAndDeploy.ReportRequester.js:100
net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

MailAndDeploy.ReportRequester.js:100
Mixed Content: The page at 'https://server/sense/app/xxxx/sheet/xxxx/state/edit?qlikTicket=xxxx' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'http://server:14999/api/?Method=GetAuthenticatedUser'.
This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

Resolution

Mail & Deploy should have HTTPS enabled, a 3rd party certificate is mandatory and its Thumbprint should be added to Mail & Deploy in the Managemente Console > Settings > Server > General.
