The Impersonate action is used in tasks to impersonate a user in Qlik Sense, thus reducing the data model according to the user's section access. This action can be used only with Qlik Sense Datasources, both Server and SaaS with Authentication Type: Impersonation (Section Access).

Qlik Sense Server

In our example the Access List looks like this

SECTION ACCESS;
Access:
load * inline [
ACCESS,USERID,SA_ACCOUNT
ADMIN,INTERNAL\SA_SCHEDULER,
ADMIN,DOMAIN\md_service,
USER,DOMAIN\ahonda,AHONDA
USER,DOMAIN\afields, AFIELDS
USER,DOMAIN\acraig,ACRAIG
];
SECTION APPLICATION;

The CYCLE action. In this example, i am using a Cycle over values. You can use a field that included the accounts you will impersonate and distribute the reports to.

The Impersonate  action looks like this and all the actions within the Impersonate group will consider section access.

The Output Debug Information action will display the current OSUser(). You will see that within the Impersonate group, the osuser() returns the impersonated user. All the actions within the Impersonate group will consider section access.

Qlik Sense SaaS

SECTION ACCESS;
Access:
load * inline [
ACCESS,USER.EMAIL,SA_ACCOUNT
ADMIN,admin@company.com,
USER,ahonda@company.com, AHONDA
USER,afields@company.com, AFIELDS

];
SECTION APPLICATION;

The task will look this:
