If Excel freezes while using the Mail & Deploy Designer, it can disrupt your workflow. Here’s a brief guide to help you troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Issue:
When opening a template in an Excel report the Excel freezes completely. There is no possibility to edit the cells.
Resolution:
1) Open Excel -> Options -> Add-ins -> Manage -> COM Add-ins -> Go...
(not in the designer, but Excel itself)
2) Disable 3rd party Add-ins and press OK
