If the Designer in Mail & Deploy is not displaying Excel files in the Content Editor, it can hinder your workflow. Here’s a brief guide on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
Issue
When designing an Excel Report and opening the template, Excel is not shown in the Content Editor.
Resolution
* Close the designer
* In Excel -> File -> Options -> General -> Optimize for compatibility -> Ok
(not in the designer, but Excel itself)
* Open the designer
