Tasks Introduction

In Mail & Deploy, a task is a collection of actions (see Actions) that can be executed automatically on a regular basis (see Execution Plans), by users requesting the execution (see Hub) or by a 3rd party application requesting the execution (see API).

You can access tasks by clicking Tasks in the left menu of Mail & Deploy Client. 

Each task has one of the following images by which it is categorized:

Tasks with this image do not have any planned execution in the future based on an execution plan.
Tasks with this image do have at least one planned execution in the future based on an execution plan.


Managing Tasks 

Tasks can be managed using the following buttons:

Click this button to create a new task.
Click this button to edit the currently selected task.
Click this button to create a copy of the currently selected task.
Click this button to delete the currently selected task.
Click this button to execute the task.
