Image Elements

An image element can be used to load an image file from a URI (e.g. a local file path, a URL or a UNC path) and add it into the report template during the creation of the report document.

Image elements have in addition to the general attributes (see General Attributes) which all report elements have - the following attributes:

URIAn expression (see Expressions) that evaluates to the URI of the image to insert into the report document. Please note, that the following conditions need to be fulfilled:
  • The file needs to be accessible for the user that runs Mail & Deploy Server. The user needs at least the rights to read the file. To ensure that the preview (see Preview) also works, the user, that runs Mail & Deploy Client needs to have read access to the file as well.
  • The URI needs to be reachable by Mail & Deploy Server; in most cases this means that you cannot use local file paths and need to use UNC paths instead. Please note, that mapped network drives cannot be used. To ensure that the preview (see Preview) also works, the computer that runs Mail & Deploy Client needs to be able to access the URI as well.
