Deploying Tasks

Modified on Thu, 11 May 2023 at 11:34 AM

When a Task is deployed,

  • it will either be created as a new task in the target instance, or
  • if a task with the same ID or name does already exist in the target instance - update the existing task.

This ensures that the second deployment of the task will update the already deployed version of the task rather than create a new one.

  • the Execution Plans are not deployed. Very likely the production server will have different Execution Plans as the development server. Please add the Execution Plans to the production server’s deployed tasks and for the subsequent deployments these will not be overwritten.
