How to use a repeater to show subtotals/totals in an Excel report in Mail & Deploy (with example)?

if you want to create an Excel Report that shows subtotals/totals using a repeater that looks like this

where the table in Qlik looks like this

The M&D Report looks like this


Lets see review the properties of the Table Element


the Product Group Desc Repeater element


and the Product Group Desc Expression element


The Subtotals are defined like this:


the formula is =SUM(B4:B5) and you need a dummy row in order to create a from:to definition, the Table element has the property Insert Rows, thus this from:to will increase to include all the values. The Delete Row Below option will delete at the end the dummy row.


the Totals will add all the values in the column, therefore you have to divide by 2 to remove the subtotals.
You can hide the dummy row using the hide row option in Excel:



The row is hidden in the Output report (look for the row number 861 in the above Report Output's screenshot.
